IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a beautiful healing modality that helps you access the presence inside of you that has never been harmed, shamed or diminished in any way. This is your true Self, and you can think of this inner essence as your emotional immune system. It can heal any part of you that is hurt, stuck in the past, and longs to be seen, heard, and loved.

The 2.5-hour workshop will introduce you to the gentle, healing principles of IFS, invite you to explore the part of you that stops you from feeling more joy, and lead you on several experiential exercises to help you get to know this part of you and what it needs.  You’ll learn to connect with your true Self and activate the power of your inner light to heal and transform unresolved issues.

IFS will help you think of yourself as multi-faceted like a diamond. with many parts inside of you. And sometimes, different parts of you are in conflict.  Maybe you’ve said…. “a part of me wants to_______________ (fill in the blank), but another part says… “but I’m afraid to try.  This inner conflict creates stress, and you might have another part that emerges to distract you, numb you out, or bring you pleasure, that says something like… “Let’s eat ice cream… or let’s go shopping! While this may create temporary relief, it doesn’t resolve the polarization in your inner world, and unresolved issues create a stuck energy that over time, holds you back in some area of your life.

So, how does IFS help you heal? Healing happens when you bring things to light! This journey starts with shining the light of awareness on different parts inside of you and getting to know them with curiosity and compassion. This workshop will help you identify the parts of you that may be stuck in conflict, and explore how they are trying to help you, and what they’re afraid will happen if they don’t think or behave that way.  When you learn to see these parts of you through the eyes of your true Self, you recognize that “there are no bad parts,” and this is just” a part of you,” not who you truly are.

Experiential IFS techniques will help you facilitate an inner dialogue between your true Self and the parts of you in conflict. As your inner presence witnesses these parts with the light of compassion and loving kindness, they receive the resources and support they’ve been longing for.

Since your true Self is a spark of the divine (however you define that) and was created from love, your inner light has the innate capacity to dissolve old burdens, metabolize pain and transform it into another form of energy your system can use. Parts that were stuck are liberated to experience more love, happiness, creativity and joy.  And as an added benefit, the more love and joy you experience in the world inside of you, the more you can radiate this love and joy in the world outside of you and be the change you wish to see!

This workshop is open to everyone and serves as a prerequisite, if you’d like to participate in an ongoing 4-week-follow-up group to go deeper, and bring healing to a specific area of your life. In addition to being a wonderful source of community and support, participating in a group amplifies and accelerates your healing process. Each group will have a maximum of 12 participants and will meet once a week, for 1.5 hours, for 4 weeks in a row.  Please bring a pen, notebook or journal.
